Jeffrey D. Saut, Managing Director at Raymond James & Associates is among the speakers who will address independent financial advisors at the 2014 Cantella & Co., Inc., Annual Conference (http://www.cantella.com). The conference will be held Aug. 21-22 at the Westin Copley Plaza hotel in Boston.

Saut joined Raymond James in 1999 as a managing director of research, working with senior managing director, Bob Anastasi. He also serves as the firm's Chief Investment Strategist. He is well known for his insightful and colorful stock market commentary and is frequently featured in the business media.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome back Jeff Saut,” said Jay Lanstein, CEO of Cantella & Co., Inc. “The Cantella representatives always benefit from his insight and experience and ideally will find the commentary useful when positioning their clients’ portfolios for the coming months.”

The event will also feature presenters from BNY Mellon, Franklin Templeton, Pershing LLC, National Financial Services LLC, Guardian, Security Benefit, the Pension Resource Institute and more.

To further recognize the excellence of its independent representatives, Cantella will launch a new award this year: The Vincent M. Cantella Charitable Award. In the spirit of company founder Vincent Cantella, the award will recognize a Cantella representative who has dedicated him or herself to help make the world a better place. The award could be based on an individual’s contribution through a larger charitable institution or a personal endeavor to better one’s own community. A son of Italian immigrants, Vincent Cantella was a World War II veteran who, among other things, became president of the Boston Stock Exchange Clearing Corp.

“Mr. Cantella had a big heart and high level of ethics in business as well as in life,” said Jennie Devlin, Cantella President and COO. “He believed success was about more than money - it was also about helping others. We wish to recognize those continuing this legacy.”
