Jessica Luza appeared on E!'s Maria Menounos online network AfterBuzz TV and discussed her big screen debut in “Let's Be Cops” and horror movie “V/H/S/ Viral.” The star also talks about struggles and successes she had being a child actor in Georgia, not-so scaryiness of film horror movies, and doing improv on set.

Jessica Luza sits down with AfterBuzz TV host Kelly McInerney to promote her big screen debut in “Let's Be Cops.” She plays Claire who isn't the nicest character. Luza describes her as a “stereotypical LA door girl who is really snarky” and “thinks she's better than everyone.” She had to improv most of her scenes on set but she felt bad that she had to act mean and rude to the background actors, she even apologized to them beforehand. She also loved working with Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans, Jr. who play the cop impersonators in the film. “It's incredible the way their inflection with a certain line is already funny and they'll just change it,” she explains. “I would never think to do's so funny!”

Luza will also be starring “V/H/S Viral” which will be released in theaters later this year. The film is part of a horror anthology with a huge fan base. Luza is actually not a horror movie fan at all but after seeing the behind the scenes of how certain things are shot made it easier and less scary. She explains how possessed people throw themselves around on mattresses saying, “Seeing the behind the scenes of it, it just all looks ridiculous and makes it super less scary.”

Luza grew up acting in Atlanta and sometimes had it rough with other children her age, “I found out at a young age that people aren't always supportive of when you want to do something in a creative field,” Luza admits. Other girls would taunt her and be very jealous of her. “It made me more nervous and less eager to perform for people,” Luza says. Her solution? Hide it. She hid her auditions and would call in sick for school and only mention them if others mentioned that they saw her on a commercial.

Jessica Luza can also be seen in the film “Labyrinth” which is produced and starring James Franco; the film has no release date yet.

“Let's Be Cops” is in theatres August 13th and “V/H/S Viral” is on Video on Demand October 23rd and limited release November 21st.
