KidsHealth and Sensei Join the Population Health Alliance
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- The Population Health Alliance, the leader in advancing the principles of population health, announced today that it has welcomed two new members to the association: KidsHealth and Sensei.
“We are very excited with the growing interest our association is garnering among companies and organizations serving very broad and varied segments of the population health industry,” said Population Health Alliance interim Executive Director, Fred Goldstein. “As we make our case for the importance of the principles of population health across the healthcare landscape, these new members’ innovative solutions and communicative and engaging approaches embody those principles, which will lead to better outcomes for all.”
PHA members work in a collaborative environment, and charter the agenda for the population health industry as a whole, through advocacy and research efforts. It is a community that shares information, data and outcomes among employers, innovative technology startups, long term providers of population health management solutions, and others.
“KidsHealth and Sensei are prime examples of one of the areas of PHA work: communications and engagement. Both organizations strive to empower consumers, which is key to activate patients and create a population that is actively taking care of its health,” said Goldstein.
The new members are:
KidsHealth is the most-visited site on the Web for information about health, behavior, and development from before birth through the teen years. On a typical weekday, KidsHealth gets as many as a million visits. One of the things that make KidsHealth special is that it's really four sites in one: with sections for parents, for kids, for teens, and for educators. KidsHealth is more than just the facts about health. As part of The Nemours Foundation's Center for Children's Health Media, KidsHealth also provides families with perspective, advice, and comfort about a wide range of physical, emotional, and behavioral issues that affect children and teens.
