Country Star Jimmy Robbins Now Using Etymotic’s MusicPRO Electronic Earplugs
(PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- A chance meeting at last April’s ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO in Hollywood introduced country artist/writer-producer Jimmy Robbins to Etymotic Research and their hearing health products for musicians. Etymotic is an innovator in hearing wellness solutions, and maker of Music•PRO® Electronic Earplugs. Since their introduction in 2012, Etymotic’s Music•PRO® Electronic Earplugs have revolutionized hearing protection by automatically adapting to unsafe sound levels and restoring natural hearing when hearing is not at risk. Users can avoid the inconvenience of removing earplugs to hear clearly. The soft sounds of music and speech are also amplified in the Music•PRO’s enhancement mode. Music•PROs protect musicians’ most precious resource – their hearing – and allow them to hear other musicians better on stage.
The active circuit in Music•PROs allows for natural hearing when sound is safe and provides automatic protection from both loud, sustained music and sudden, loud percussive sounds. In addition, Music•PRO electronic earplugs have an enhancement mode that amplifies soft sounds. Advanced signal processing, wide bandwidth, high-sensitivity microphones and high-definition balanced-armature drivers combine to give musicians a true high-fidelity experience. Like the original models, the new Music•PROs come with a selection of eartips that fit the majority of users, with custom molds an available option.
The 24 year-old singer-songwriter and producer Jimmy Robbins signed to Universal Motown Records in 2007. He began work on a full-length album and toured the country between 2007-2009. During the summer of 2009, Jimmy toured on Radio Disney's dTour before joining Mitchel Musso's tour. Jimmy's major label album See Through Secrets was then digitally released on September 8, 2009, and he officially began co-writing and producing with and for other artists in 2010, including for Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Thompson Square, and Sara Evans. Today, he’s written some of the biggest hits in country music and is continuing his blistering hit streak.
“Music-induced hearing loss is preventable,” says Dr. Patricia Johnson, audiologist and hearing conservation specialist at Etymotic. “Etymotic has been providing the world’s only truly flat-attenuation, passive hearing protection to musicians for more than 25 years. We’re pleased to launch this new version of our electronic earplugs that lets wearers hear music naturally until it exceeds safe levels. No other devices can do that.”
