Gilbane Building Company, a global leader in construction services, announced that Mark Hill has been named Vice President / Sales Leader for the company’s New York business unit, where Gilbane was just named “2014 Contractor of the Year” by Engineering News-Record (ENR) New York, a leading publication for the engineering and construction industry.
With over 30 years of service to the company and in leadership roles within marketing and sales services, Hill will now have the added responsibility for Gilbane’s business development efforts throughout New York State, a rapidly expanding geographic area for the firm.

A veteran of the construction industry, Hill has been with Gilbane since 1983 when he joined the Cleveland office as Business Development Manager. Since then, he has supported multiple Gilbane offices including Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, and Cleveland. He has been involved in securing key projects for the company for clients such as The Ohio State University, Kent State University, Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Limited Brands, University of Illinois, O’Hare International Airport, and Northwestern University.
Hill holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Denison University and is affiliated with the Construction Management Association of America and the Construction Employers Association.
