Popular Tavern Restaurant Features Pioneer Millworks’ Reclaimed Wood in New Locations
Farmington, NY (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- Jeremiah’s Tavern joins other renowned restaurants incorporating Pioneer Millworks’ reclaimed wood to create a unique atmosphere and highlight their commitment to the environment. Their newest location features reclaimed barn siding on the exterior façade of the restaurant, with custom selected mixed softwoods flowing throughout the interior as flooring. In addition, timber trusses crafted by Pioneer Millworks’ sister company New Energy Works Timberframers add atmosphere and structure. Jeremiah’s Tavern in Penfield, NY is slated to open on August 15th, 2014.
“Design trends for commercial spaces continue to draw from organic and natural materials, with reclaimed wood being a perfect fit. Reclaimed wood is a flexible medium, working as interior or exterior siding on an entire structure, or in select areas as flooring or paneling to highlight architectural details or add visual interest,” explained Jered Slusser, reclaimed wood and design expert at Pioneer Millworks.
The patinated barn siding sourced by Pioneer Millworks has stood up to years of weathering in its previous life, giving the wood an oxidized surface layer of protection and allowing it to be put right back into service. Pioneer Millworks reclaims dilapidated agricultural structures that have outlived their usefulness, sorting and milling planks and timbers for re-use. A hand selected mixture of reclaimed softwoods creates a consistent yet unique floor in the taverns celebrating the antique wood’s natural patina and occasional paint remnants.
“Pioneer Millwork's reclaimed barn siding continues to be a fantastic product for the design community. The selections we offer in terms of color, combined with our expert milling and finishing, make it a perfect material for walls, ceilings, fixtures and more,” continued Slusser.
