Massachusetts Skilled Nursing Center, Bay Path Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Celebrates 30 Years of Nursing Excellence
Duxbury, MA (PRWEB) August 04, 2014 -- For 30 years Bay Path Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Duxbury has enjoyed a reputation for nursing excellence. The Welch Healthcare and Retirement Group nursing center has been a valued part of the Duxbury community, consistently receives high marks from state agencies that oversee the quality of nursing homes throughout Massachusetts.
In 1984 Bay Path was founded by the late Thomas F. and Rita M. Welch. From the beginning their goal was the provision of skilled nursing care in a homelike setting. Today, Bay Path, a 120-bed nursing facility, offers residents and their families’ short-term rehabilitative care, long-term care and a specialized Alzheimer's center.
“We are very proud of the significant role we have played in providing essential senior care services to our residents and their families,” says Marianne Welch-Martinez, administrator of Bay Path and third generation Welch family member. “The level of devotion by our long-term staff is remarkable and a distinction that underscores the Welch Group’s family oriented approach to caring for older adults,” adds Welch-Martinez.
This year Bay Path was included in U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Nursing Homes in America list, receiving a 5-star quality rating. In 2014, for the third year in a row, Bay Path received a deficiency-free survey from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Additionally, Bay Path is accredited by The Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO), a nationally recognized symbol of quality that confirms Bay Path’s commitment and dedication to providing the highest quality healthcare.
“In addition to Bay Path’s 30th anniversary, several other significant milestones are being celebrated by the Welch Group,” says Richard M. Welch, president, Welch Healthcare and Retirement Group. The company’s first nursing center, John Scott House in Braintree is celebrating 65 years of nursing excellence and Colonial in Weymouth, will celebrate 50 years of nursing excellence. Also the company’s first adult day health center and assisted living community; Colonial Adult Day Health in Weymouth and Allerton House Assisted Living at Central Park in Weymouth will respectively celebrate their 35th and 15th Anniversaries. “We credit our longevity to the Welch Group’s experienced and compassionate staff – many of whom are 20 and 30-year employees,” adds Welch.
