Announcement: GuitarControl.com releases “3 Note Chords for Blues Comping - Blues Guitar Lesson on 3 Note Chords”
(PRWEB) August 01, 2014 -- Jon demonstrates this style of rhythm playing using a 12 bar blues progression in the key of F as follows. For the one chord Jon demonstrates the chord voicing as; first fret of the 6th string with first finger, 3rd fret of the 4th string with 3rd finger and 2nd fret of the 3rd string with 2nd finger and follows that with three connecting chords; 3rd fret of the 6th string with 3rd finger, first fret of the 4th string with first finger and 3rd fret of the 3rd string with 4th finger and then he simply moves this voicing up chromatically to the 3rd fret which makes an inversion of the first chord. Next Jon moves to what is called the quick four, which is a Bb7 (B flat seven) and performs it with the same chromatic idea based off of the Bb7 and then resolves back to the F. Next Jon moves to the five chord which is F7 and finally works his way back down to the four chord and then to the one chord. MacLennan performs the whole sequence slowly so you can easily follow along. Guitar TAB’s are available for this cool rhythm guitar lesson at GuitarControl.com.
