PlaceForge then turns this data into clear reports that managers can use to see exactly where their key assets are and have been. The PlaceForge asset tracking solution is inexpensive and unobtrusive. Staff simply carry small low-energy Bluetooth® beacon “fobs”, shopping carts or other assets get small Bluetooth® beacon “tags”, and all the fobs and tags signal their distance in real-time to small “hub” receivers placed around a store. The PlaceForge web-based application then analyzes the real-time data.

With PlaceForge, managers can see exactly when the staffing levels in any area did (or didn’t) match what was planned. They can also see where staff are spending the most (or least) of their time. Managers can therefore decide how to schedule for maximum efficiency.

With tagged shopping carts or baskets, store managers can know which areas of a store are (and aren’t) being visited most by customers. They can know exactly where and when customer service staff are needed the most. Store managers can therefore decide how to optimize their entire retail space for maximum customer service.
