HumanTouch LLC, an innovator on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and information solutions provider, today announced the acquisition of CorasWorks Corporation, a global leader in management solutions built atop the Microsoft SharePoint platform. More than 1,000 private and public sector organizations and have selected CorasWorks for their SharePoint-based solutions and applications. This acquisition underscores HumanTouch’s aggressive position in strengthening its PaaS business to operationalize new products and processes for how organizations build and deploy solutions.

CorasWorks is an integral part of the HumanTouch PaaS strategy as it allows organizations to capitalize on their existing investments in Microsoft SharePoint to design, develop and deploy solutions in days instead of weeks and months – all while adhering to existing security and infrastructure policies. As a result, organizations are able to not only increase time to market, but do so at a fraction of the cost as compared to traditional solution implementation. This acquisition supports organizations to reduce the cost and complexity of IT while improving and leveraging existing investments.

“The addition of CorasWorks into our environment provides a major leap forward in providing PaaS Solutions to our customers,” said Jim Benson, Senior Vice President, HumanTouch. “CorasWorks has a depth of products and solutions that significantly expands our ecosystem that allows for quick application development, ease of configuration and one-touch deployment. This is integral to our goal of being recognized as an integrated product and services company that produces ‘just-in-time’ solutions to reduce risk and accelerate business value.”

The PaaS solution marketplace is projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 41 percent through 2016, according to Market Monitor. The reason for this anticipated growth is that PaaS represents a major shift with regard to the building, deploying and improving of applications while increasing the speed of systems changes. What previously took months now can get done in weeks, days and even hours.

This acquisition will greatly accelerate CorasWorks’ cloud based strategy. “By joining forces with HumanTouch, we will accelerate our vision of bringing our Visual Design Canvas for rapid configuration based applications to the Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Cloud. Customers will not only benefit from moving their existing applications to Office 365 but also from a rich storefront of business solutions that we will be rolling out as well,” said Dan Naselius CTO, CorasWorks.
