Rounds Launches the First “Instant Group” Video Chat Allowing Multi-User Streaming of Up To 12 Participants
(PRWEB) August 05, 2014 -- Rounds is announcing their new group video chat capabilities, allowing up to 12 participants to have fun and interact together. The Rounds’ shared experience allows users to play games, listen to music, watch videos, share photos and take group snapshots together all while video chatting. Rounds already has millions of users worldwide enjoying their HD video chat solutions. The new multi-user group video chat iOS version is available on iTunes here.
Up until now, users were required to be friends to call each other on Rounds, but now users can invite participants from any social network to join their groups, using a special “invite code”, created for each group. With the invite code, users can easily connect with anyone around any topic - be it for a quick family meeting, an online meetup of your Twitter followers, or group video chatting with your buddies while watching the game. There is no limitation on how many participants can be in each group and once a group member shouts-out to everyone, the first 12 to enter the call can instantly video chat.
Following its strategic collaboration with Vidyo, Rounds is the first company to offer platform-agnostic enterprise-level multi-party HD video chat solutions to the consumer space. This allows Rounds to provide the best video chat quality available in the market.
“Instead of messaging back and forth on Whatsapp, users can now instantly chat live with their groups of friends with a simple tap of a button,” said Dany Fishel, Rounds co-founder and CEO, “While there are several video communication apps out there, we believe the ability to chat, and connect over content and shared experiences with multiple friends at a time, is a much needed and missing utility. We’ve built a thrilling and engaging product that we are very proud of, one that is changing the way friends connect and communicate.”
Rounds also launched a free audio-calling feature for both iOS and Android, allowing users to call friends, while still being able to switch instantly from audio to video. This feature, along with the existing text messaging, video chatting and the ability to enjoy social activities, games and content together - is what sets Rounds apart and offers users a real true-to-life experience.
