(PRWEB) August 04, 2014 -- The lick that Jon demonstrates has a melody on the top end of the chord voicing’s that is based in G minor pentatonic and the whole lick is harmonized with the notes in the chord voicing’s. MacLennan demonstrates the easy jazz lick in the key of G as follows; starting with a great jazz chord voicing of G6/9, 2nd fret of the 4th and 3rd strings with first finger and 3rd fret of the 2nd and first strings with 3rd finger and by simply sliding this chord voicing up and down the fret board the note played on the first string completes the melody. The melody notes based on the first string are played at the following frets; 3rd to the 6th to the 8th to the 9th back to the 6th and then back to the 8th and finally back to the 3rd fret.
