Tucson, AZ (PRWEB) August 05, 2014 -- Starting this month, Outski is sharing 50% of the commissions that it receives from its discount travel provider as well as 50% of the commissions it earns from travel insurance purchases made on the Outski platform with all of its 401(play)™ users. 401(play)™ is an individual or employer sponsored plan that allows employees to set aside a portion of their paycheck for future vacations.
Outski attracts those with a desire to travel, making it possible to take these trips by saving money into an FDIC-insured Vacation Savings Account (or “VSA”). These accounts are linked to Outski’s online platform, http://www.outski.com, which provides discounted travel, social collaboration, and budgeting tools. But company CEO Greg Nickolson wanted to add something more.
As a tangible way to help 401(play)™ users save money for their upcoming trips, Outski has created the VSA Dividends™ program. Nickolson says, “Many companies offer a rewards or ‘points’ program, but nobody is just handing over profits to their customers, until now. These users will see an actual increase in their VSA balances.” Nickolson believes that this, “could further incentivize employers to adopt 401(play)™ plans into their employee benefits program or health and wellness plan, improving their business culture.”
“Many people just don’t realize the positive impact that taking a vacation makes, from reducing stress to improving health and wellness. Knowingly or not, our users are investing in themselves, and we’re going to help by investing in them too. When they book travel or buy travel insurance on our site, a portion of the commissions that we earn are shared with our users. We are incredibly excited to be able to do this,” says Nickolson. “As a result our customers will be healthier and ultimately more productive in the work place,” he adds.
Users who are VSA Holders, but are not part of an employer-sponsored 401(play)™ plan may participate in the VSA Dividends™ program by encouraging their employers to implement a 401(play)™ plan, or by establishing a payroll direct deposit into their VSA.
