Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) August 06, 2014
Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock and Dodig LLP is proud to announce that Roberta “Bobbie” Pichini will be honored with the 2014 Justice Musmanno Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. Pichini will be presented with the award at the annual Justice Musmanno Award Dinner on Oct. 22, 2014 at the Hyatt at the Bellevue.
The Musmanno Award is given each year to an outstanding judge, lawyer or citizen who represents the spirit and ideals of the late Justice Michael A. Musmanno of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. A lawyer, speaker, statesman, and legislator, Justice Musmanno never stood aside complacently when he believed that cruelty and injustice were being inflicted.
In that spirit, Pichini has been chosen to receive the 2014 award, the 35th annual presentation.
“Bobbie Pichini is one of those exceptional lawyers who raises the bar for all of us,” said co-managing partner Alan Feldman. “She’s a gifted trial lawyer and a compelling advocate for victims’ rights, with a professional and personal integrity that is simply unsurpassed. The Musmanno Award is the highest recognition offered by PTLA, and Bobbie is a truly deserving recipient. All of us at Feldman Shepherd are proud of her.”
Pichini previously has been named by The Legal Intelligencer as one of four women leaders in personal injury litigation in Pennsylvania. She was awarded the Sandra Day O'Connor Award by the Philadelphia Bar Association for professional excellence and advancing the role of women in the bar.
The first woman in Pennsylvania to be invited into the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers, Pichini was elected the organization's first woman officer in 2003 and its first woman president in 2011. She has focused her practice exclusively on representing seriously injured infants,
children and adults.
“To be chosen to represent the spirit and ideals of Justice Musmanno, who fought so hard and for so long against injustice and for the rights of our clients, is truly humbling,” said Pichini. “I am thrilled and grateful to be the recipient of the 2014 Musmanno Award.”
Pichini has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters each year that the award has been given; she has been recognized every year since 2007 as a Top 50 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, and a Top 100 Philadelphia Super Lawyer.
The Justice Musmanno Award Dinner will be held Oct. 22 and begin with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., with dinner to follow. All members of the bench and bar are invited to attend. For more information, contact the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association at 215-732-2256.
