Panda Security, The Cloud Security Company, announced today, that it will transition to a 100% channel model for its corporate sales in North America. The transition will begin September 1, 2014.
This transition comes just two months after the arrival of Tom Berger, the new VP of Sales and Marketing, US and Canada at Panda Security, who has 20 years of experience in channel development.
“As the first Cloud Security Company our mission is to align ourselves tightly with our channel partners. We value our partners and their efforts to promote and sell our robust perimeter to end point security solution that is easy to deploy and manage,” said Berger. “As a result, beginning September 1, 2014 Panda Security North America will no longer engage in a direct business model, rather migrate all business through the channel partner community. This strategic move will allow Panda to focus on building even stronger channel alliances, expanding our North American market presence and increasing revenue and profitability for our partners.”
Panda’s direct sales team is transitioning into their new role as channel managers and will be moving the opportunities over to the channel to fulfill. Panda’s migration to 100% channel offers an additional benefit that increases the channel’s profitability and success.
