GuitarControl.com Releases “Jazz Guitar Lick in the Style of Wes Montgomery - Lead Jazz Guitar Lesson”
(PRWEB) August 05, 2014 -- The lick that Jon demonstrates has a melody on the top end of the chord voicing’s that is based in G minor pentatonic and the whole lick is harmonized with the notes in the chord voicing’s. MacLennan demonstrates the easy jazz lick in the key of G as follows; starting with a jazz chord voicing of Gdim (G diminished), 5th fret of the 4th string with first finger, 6th fret of the 3rd string with 2nd finger, 5th fret of the 2nd string with 3rd finger and 6th fret of the first string with 4th finger and by simply sliding this chord voicing up and down the fret board the note played on the first string completes the melody. The melody notes based on the first string are played at the following frets; 6th to the 8th and slide into the 9th and then back to the 6th and finally to the 3rd fret and then end on a G6/9 chord.
