Victory Healthcare Announces Kane Dawson as CEO of Victory Medical Center Landmark
San Antonio, Texas (PRWEB) August 05, 2014 -- Victory Healthcare proudly announced today Kane Dawson as the new Chief Executive Officer of Victory Medical Center Landmark. As CEO, Dawson will oversee all administrative activities of the San Antonio facility, which is also celebrating its one-year anniversary this month.

Dawson joins Victory with more than 15 years of experience in health care administration. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Foundation Surgical Hospital of El Paso in El Paso, Texas, where he led daily operations as well as business development and service expansion.

Prior to Foundation Surgical Hospital of El Paso, Dawson spent more than a decade with Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), working at the Chicago, Philadelphia and Atlanta locations. His introduction to CTCA was as vice president of its Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Chicago. Next he served as COO and senior vice president at the Eastern Regional Medical Center in Philadelphia, where he oversaw the opening of the hospital, recruiting a multi-specialty medical staff and planning business strategy. His tenure there led him to be recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the “40 under 40,” a list of distinguished local business professionals under the age of 40. In 2012, Dawson successfully oversaw the construction and opening of the Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Atlanta, where he served as the CEO. In his time at CTCA, Dawson implemented many noteworthy programs, including those for patient care and loyalty.
Dawson earned his Bachelor of Arts at Wabash College and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Master of Business Administration. He is also certified by the Lean Healthcare Certification Program from University of Michigan.
Dawson will be replacing Louis Garcia who announced his retirement in July after more than two years with Victory Healthcare.
