Corporate Travel Management (CTM, ASX: CTD) has today announced further expansion in the US.
CTM’s North American expansion plan has advanced today with the acquisition of Texas-based travel management company Avia International (Avia). The acquisition, effective September 1, 2014, positions CTM as one of the strongest travel management providers in Texas and expands our circle of expertise in serving oil and gas and marine sector clients.
Romeo Cuter, CTM’s CEO of North America, says, “I am excited to bring the Avia team into the CTM family. Together with Avia, CTM will bolster shared industry expertise in the oil and gas sector and add to our growing profile across the US, particularly in the Texas market. Avia have been in operation in Houston for over 17 years and are home to approximately 40 staff providing predominantly corporate travel management services with annual sales volume of approximately USD$50m at December 31, 2013.
CTM will retain the existing Avia Travel office in Houston to serve one of the largest travel management markets in the world. CTM’s US headquarters will remain in Denver, Colorado.

CTM will continue to leverage combined buying power, support service expertise and client facing solutions in North America. CTM’s combined North American TTV for FY15 will be in excess of USD500m, allowing the leverage of additional buying power in global and North American markets.
