GuitarControl.com Releases “Cool Lick for Ending a Blues in G - Easy Blues Guitar Lesson”
(PRWEB) August 06, 2014 -- Jon demonstrates this cool blues ending lick in the key of G as follows; 3rd fret of the 6th string with his thumb, and then a slide from the 5th fret of the 3rd string with 3rd finger to the 7th fret, and follow that with the 7th fret of the first string with 4th finger and then back to the 3rd string, which makes the interval of a 6th, which is a very common double stop in the blues. Next, MacLennan moves the double stop down a half step to the 6th fret and picks both strings simultaneously using the hybrid picking technique, and then down another half step to the 5th fret. Next, Jon moves the double stop to the 3rd fret and uses his first finger barred across both strings and picks both strings together, and follows it with a quick hammer-on to the 4th fret of the 3rd string with 2nd finger. And finally, MacLennan ends the lick with a Ab13 (A Flat Thirteen) which consists of the 4th fret of the 6th string with thumb and simultaneously mute the 5th string, 4th fret of the 4th string with first finger, 5th fret of the 3rd string with 2nd finger, 6th fret of the 2nd string with 3rd finger, and 6th fret of the first string with 4th finger, and then slide down a half step to resolve on a G13. Guitar TAB’s are available for this cool blues guitar lesson at GuitarControl.com.
