Sintex-Wausaukee Composites, a subsidiary of Sintex Industries, announced the opening of the first fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) production cell for OEM products using Light Resin Transfer Molding (LRTM) technology in Pune, Maharashta, India. As part of the Sintex-Wausaukee global initiative the project was completed in conjunction with Bright Autoplast Ltd., a Sintex partner company.
The (FRP) production cell in the first implementation of the global supply initiative developed from the company’s Special Projects Vehicle group (SPV). The (SPV) has been designed to deliver FRP OEM composite solutions for global manufacturing and support the expansion of the company’s global manufacturing initiative.

With the cell now open, we can deliver on our commitment to serve the growing demands of our multi-national customers for quality components and expand our leadership role providing OEM components to the North American and International markets,” said SWC President/CEO Ed Trueman.
