Three Brothers Bakery Celebrates Man’s Best Friend with Special Promotion
Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 07, 2014 -- Three Brothers Bakery is celebrating National Dog Day throughout the month of August with decorated paw print cookies at all three Houston locations. A portion of the sales from these dog themed cookies will benefit local shelter, Friends For Life. Three Brothers Bakery will be hosting a social media contest, with a winner selected on National Dog Day, August 26, and will wrap up the month with a mobile dog adoption event with the shelter at its Washington Avenue store on the 30th.
Three Brothers Bakery loves dogs, and has created a dog-friendly patio at its Washington Avenue location. On National Dog Day itself, August 26, the dog-friendly Three Brothers Bakery location on Washington Avenue will give away a free dog treat to any customers that stop by the bakery with their furry friend. The bakery will also invite, and encourage, customers and Houstonians to visit this location, and hopefully adopt a dog, during a mobile adoption event with Friends For Life, happening August 30 from 6-8 pm.
For the first three weeks of the month, the bakery will be giving a portion of sales from the paw print and dog-shaped cookies to Friends For Life, a Houston animal shelter. For the final week of August, the bakery will give 100% of the proceeds of the cookie sales to the shelter.
Additionally, beginning August 7, Three Brothers Bakery will hold a social media contest in which one fan will be eligible to win one dozen dog treats and one dozen cookies for him or herself and their dog. Customers can enter the contest by posting a photo of their dog on the bakery’s Facebook page, and the photo with the most likes on National Dog Day will win the prize.
“As a family, we have several rescue dogs, one of which we adopted through Friends For Life. The organization is doing amazing things for the canine population in Houston, and we are so excited to help support them through this campaign and hopefully help find more dogs their forever homes,” says Bobby Jucker, bakery co-owner and fifth generation baker. “Our pets are members of the family, and we hope to see a lot of customers visit the store to treat themselves and their dogs.”

About Three Brothers Bakery
The traditions of Three Brothers Bakery began in Chrzanow, Poland circa 1825, and were preserved despite the family’s concentration camp imprisonment during the Holocaust. Their miraculous liberation, and subsequent move to Houston, brought Eastern European scratch baking traditions to 4036 S. Braeswood Blvd, 12393 Kingsride Lane, and 4606 Washington Ave where the owners are now proud to call themselves “memory makers who just happen to be bakers.” Perfecting the process for almost 200 years, each day the fifth generation bakers produce mostly dairy-free breads and pastries, cookies, a full line of specialty dessert cakes and pies, as well as custom birthday, special occasion, wedding and groom’s cakes using only the highest quality ingredients.
The Three Brothers Bakery pecan pie was named “the best mail order pecan pie America has to offer” by Country Living magazine, bakery owner, Bobby Jucker competed in the popular ‘Food Network Challenge’ and has been seen on Food Network’s Outrageous Food. Three Brothers won “Best Mail-Order Pies 2012” from Bon Appetit, as well as Modern Baking’s “2013 Retail Bakery of the Year” and was part of The Knot’s “2010-2013 Best of Weddings” and “Hall of Fame” picks. Most recently, Three Brothers Bakery was named #11 in “America’s 50 Best Bakeries” by The Daily Meal, and was awarded the 2013 Jeffrey Butland Family-Owned Business of the Year by the Houston division of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
