Kaplan Companies officials joined today with Marlboro Mayor Jonathan Hornik and community members to cut the ribbon on “Camelot at Marlboro,” a 250-unit luxury rental community on Route 79 in Marlboro Township.

Jason Kaplan, president of Kaplan Companies, said community interest has been strong, with leases signed on 10-12 luxury rentals each week. More than 60 percent of the complex has been pre-leased. Kaplan said Camelot at Marlboro is ideal for young professionals and active adults, who can select from one- or two-bedroom rentals.

“One of the key reasons that Camelot at Marlboro is successful is its prime location,” Kaplan said. “The community is in highly desirable Marlboro Township, close to shopping, dining and the Jersey Shore. It is also a dream for commuters, close to rail, road and a high-speed ferry into Lower Manhattan.”

Hornik said the township is pleased to host the latest Kaplan Companies community, noting such an attractive project is an example of the type of smart and creative development that brings tax revenue to Marlboro without creating a drain on municipal resources.

“I congratulate Kaplan Companies for creating the type of community that Marlboro is proud to be connected with,” the mayor said. “I anticipate a very bright future for this community, especially with the number of older residents who are looking to downsize from single-family homes, but do not want to leave Marlboro because it’s a great community.”

There are plenty of amenities at Camelot at Marlboro, such as a 3,700-square-foot clubhouse, with a 24-hour fitness center, a resident lounge, a billiards room and a “Kaplan Kids Corner,” with plenty of fun for children. Camelot at Marlboro is pet-friendly, including a dog wash and bark park. There is also a barbeque area and tot lot to enhance the living experience, as well as an electric car charging station.

Each unit has the latest in kitchen design, with granite countertops and GE stainless steel appliances. There is hardwood flooring, ceramic tile kitchens and baths, and Berber carpeting in the bedrooms. Each unit also has GE high efficiency front load washer/dryers, private garages with storage, balconies and patios.

“As we expect many professionals to be drawn to Camelot at Marlboro, we are also offering a corporate suites program,” Kaplan noted. “Those who need short term housing can have access to fully-furnished apartments; they just need their toiletries and clothes and can move right in.”

Kaplan Companies, headquartered in Highland Park, has built tens of thousands of quality homes in New Jersey and the East Coast since 1952. Learn more at http://www.kaplanatmarlboro.com or call 866-659-3609.
