Wimbledon Health Partners Gears Up For Growth with Expansion into the Medicare Marketplace
Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) August 06, 2014 -- Wimbledon Health Partners, an on-site diagnostic testing company that provides physicians with vascular, echocardiogram and NCV testing with the educational, compliance, and marketing tools necessary to provide quality, state-of-the-art, in-office testing procedures, recently announced their plan to launch on-site diagnostic testing into the Medicare marketplace, beginning in the fourth quarter of 2014. Expanding into the Medicare marketplace has been necessitated by the growing need of physicians treating patients under Medicare to have lifesaving diagnostic testing available conveniently at their locations.
According to the United States Census Bureau, 47.5 million Americans were enrolled with Medicare in 2010 and within this market, “three out of four adults over the age of 65 have multiple chronic conditions,” states the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Recognizing that early detection is crucial Medicare has set suggestive guidelines for individuals over the age of 65 who have not been previously screened to undergo ultrasound screenings for abdominal aortic aneurysms. Individuals aged 65 to 75 who present with common risk factors, such as: smoking at least 100 cigarettes in their lifetime, family history of AAA, hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity, glucose intolerance and/or a family history of diabetes are eligible to receive this screening.
