Sonatrach, Qatar Petroleum, OMV, Maersk Oil to assess Enhanced Oil Recovery opportunities worldwide

- Adel Hammouda, Senior Reservoir Engineer at Qatar Petroleum; As the world’s third largest oil company, QP announced a redevelopment program for its oil fields using the latest cutting-edge technology and powerful computer modeling and processing. The $11 billion investment plan to double offshore field Bul Hanine’s oil production reflects the significant extent of the strategy.
- Maamar Djarir, Production Operation Geologist at Sonatrach; Algeria has always been prioritising the redevelopment of the largest mature fields in the country and the national oil company, Sonatrach is now looking to attract foreign investment in the EOR schemes of mature oil fields.
