Atlanta, GA and Chicago, IL (PRWEB) August 11, 2014

Analyte Health, through its websites STDTestExpress.com and HepCTestExpress.com, is working with Teen Challenge Georgia to provide diagnostic testing services to Teen Challenge Georgia clients – individuals who struggle with life-controlling addictions.

Analyte Health and Analyte Physicians Group are committed to helping consumers find actionable paths to wellness. Analyte’s mission is to provide convenient access to education, diagnostic testing, personalized results and recommendations to consumers through our online clinics.

Teen Challenge Georgia provides solutions to individuals with life-controlling issues through residential and non-residential care. Teen Challenge Georgia serves those who have no place else to turn, and no other avenues for help by striving to be the most successful program for individuals with life-controlling problems in the state of Georgia.

For a limited time, Analyte Health is providing new clients of Teen Challenge Georgia with subsidized HIV and Hepatitis C testing, as well as medical consultation through STDtestExpress.com and HepCtestExpress.com.

“We are thrilled to provide these important and potentially live-saving medical tests, and medical consultation, to individuals in need in the greater Atlanta area, through our affiliation with Teen Challenge Georgia” said Sridhar Murthy, CEO of Analyte Health.

Brandon Western, Assistant Director for Teen Challenge Georgia International commented, “We believe that every person has value, and that life-controlling behavior can be changed. Just as we at Teen Challenge apply our work on the behavioral side of the equation – it is critical that we address the medical side, and we are thrilled that Analyte Health has stepped in to fill the important medical testing and consultation needs of our clients.”

Hepatitis C

Hepatitis C spreads through blood contact. This happens most commonly when people share needles used for intravenous drugs. People who have received a blood transfusion or organ transplant before 1993, blood-clotting products prior to 1987 or long-term hemodialysis, may be at risk for the Hep C virus. People who work in hospitals and emergency workers may get accidentally pricked with a needle and become infected. Hepatitis C can also be spread through sexual activity. The risk of sexual transmission is higher if you have had more than one sex partner.

Most people who have Hep C don’t feel anything at all. Some people may come down with flu symptoms and feel belly discomfort, lose their appetite, may vomit, feel tired, lose weight and sometimes appear “jaundiced” (this means that they look a little yellow in their eyes and skin). Untreated Hepatitis C can lead to eventual liver disease, liver cancer and death.

Finding out that one has Hep C is very important, as new, more effective treatments are now available. There are also things that one can do to make sure one’s liver doesn’t get worse and that the virus isn’t spread to other people.

The Centers for Disease Control recommends that anyone who has ever used IV drugs, anyone born between 1945 and 1965, or anyone that has any of the other risk factors noted above should get screened for Hepatitis C.

Anyone with one of the risk factors noted above is urged to call HepCtestexpress.com at (888) 380-5235 to take advantage of a free screening program, which Analyte has in place for a limited time only.

In addition, STDtestexpress.com provides a full range of STD testing services through partnerships with over 4,000 labs located across all 50 states.
