Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ: CTAS) announced that its rental location in Lawton, Okla. has received Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification from the Oklahoma Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). VPP is OSHA’s highest recognition for the practice of and commitment to exemplary occupational safety and health and “Star” is its highest distinction.

The Lawton facility first began its journey toward VPP designation more than three years ago. They are now the 26th Cintas facility in the nation to receive VPP designation, and the first company to achieve this level of safety in Lawton, Okla. Cintas Corporation ranks 12th in the entire nation for the number of VPP sites overall. The designation required hard work, dedication, continuous training, rigorous audits, and 100 percent engagement between management and employee-partners.
Steve Rowland, General Manager of the Lawton rental location goes on to state that “safety is part of our culture, not just at work but at home and at our customers’ locations. We look forward to helping other companies in Lawton with their safety programs as they pursue VPP Star recognition.”
