Healthcasts Diabetes Study and Related Interviews Drive Physician Discussion
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 07, 2014 -- Healthcasts, a leading provider of physician education, fostered dialogue among top medical experts, practicing physicians, and their patients concerning the current challenges faced in diabetes treatment. Using insights from a recent survey of physician-members and their diabetic patients, Healthcasts addressed practice needs in an interactive forum with leading experts. Video interviews underscored the need for strengthening clinical interactions between practicing physicians, Key Opinion Leaders, and patients to improve treatment outcomes. Among the topics discussed were barriers to treatment, patient adherence, treatment gaps, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Dr. Helena Rodbard, Past President of the American College of Endocrinology (ACE) and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), was among the leading faculty interviewed by Healthcasts.
“By spending time with and interviewing experts in each specialty, concentrating on topics that are influenced and formulated directly by the physician audience, Healthcasts has been able to provide a forum to experts and clinicians that allows and promotes an active, engaging, and ongoing conversation, while sharing information quickly in the rapidly evolving healthcare space.” Dr. Rodbard said. “I am pleased to have the opportunity to share updates in my specialty and provide a means of engaging communication with practicing clinicians.”
Healthcasts conducted 24 interviews across five key topic areas, which are available on all electronic devices, to practicing physicians. These interviews have been viewed by over 17,293 physician-members, who collectively have the potential to influence the outcomes of over 6.9 million patients a month.
