More Creepy Music for a Spooky World is their third in a series of creepy sheet music books. Aimed at Halloween enthusiasts who wish to become haunted organists and musicians who want to play some new creepy tunes, More Creepy Music for a Spooky World is focused on music from The Moon-Rays, The Coffin Daggers, and Ghoultown. It is suitable for beginner to advanced musicians.
The Moon-Rays, based in Chicago, are known as "America's Halloween Band". Scott Mensching, the Moon-Rays founder composed the first four creepy songs including his tribute to The Munsters, 1313 Mocking Bird Lane plus Blues for Vampira, Spookwalk and what many think is their best song of all time, Ghastly Love Theme from the movie The Ghastly Love Of Johnny X.
The Coffin Daggers are a horror/sci-fi-themed instrumental surf-punk band based in the New York City area. Founded by Viktor Venom in 1999 they have become a fixture in the New York City live music scene. The book includes Coffin Dagger, The Heinous Mr. Hyde, Monsters from the ID, Psychonaut, Shark Attack, Avenue X, and Dr. Guillotine.
Ghoultown is a horrorpunk/gothabilly band from Texas, specializing in a mixture of classic garage punk and psychobilly music and dark, horrifying lyrics with a heavy spaghetti western influence. Formed in 1998 by front man/guitarist, Count Lyle and featuring guitar players D. Evilwood and Jake Middlefinger, the band was featured on the syndicated television show, Elvira's Movie Macabre.
While the Moon-Rays and the Coffin Daggers are instrumental bands, Ghoultown's lyrics make their songs true classic Horror Ballads. Included are the creepiest Ghoultown songs like Return of the Living Dead, Wicked Man, Drink with the Living Dead, Under the Phantom Moon, Bury the Hatchet, Killer in Texas, Mistress of the Dark and Killin's a Bitch (and this Bitch is Killin's me.
