Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc., Hold Their 2014 Annual Conference
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) August 12, 2014 -- It is a known fact that, “The art of living is that ability to turn negativity and negative experiences into positive learning and positive reality!” Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc., has been able to do just that!
The beautiful city of Orlando awaits the organization once again for its annual conference on August 7 – 11, 2014. All year, Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc., has been looking forward to its special “Hoopin for Health II” Charity Basketball Game with the Moms of the Professional Basketball Players versus the Moms of the Professional Football Players. This is a game you do not want to miss! The last one was spectacular and received great community support. This year’s game will be played August 9th at Dr. Phillips High School on Turkey Lake Road in Orlando, starting promptly at 6:00 PM. Tickets are now on sale as well as available vendor opportunities; however, limited game tickets will be sold at the door before the game begins at 5:00 PM.
The All Star Roster for the Mothers of Professional Basketball Player’s team will include: Coaches Marie Jackson (Mark) and Lucille O’Neal (Shaq), and Flo Allen-Hopson (Ray), just to name a few. Representing the squad for the Mothers of Professional Football Player’s team will be the dynamic Deena Moore (Kyle), Angela Watson (Dakoda), and Michelle Green (Bryant). In addition, the game will also feature retired players as the game’s guest referees. It will be a great time with plenty of fun and laughter as the Moms consciously play a game they all love while bringing awareness to better health within the community.
As a reminder, portions of the proceeds received from this charity game will help support UNCF (the United Negro College Fund) and its deserving students this year. Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc., is certain that with the partnerships it is attempting to form with caring individuals and organizations, many will benefit.
Sunday’s “Honoring Our Own” Brunch being held at Rosen Centre Hotel on International Drive (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM) will celebrate the 23 women (including President and Founder, Charlotte Brandon) who had the vision for tthe organization, and two women military veterans for their dedication to service and perseverance. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Mothers of Professional Basketball Players, Inc. Scholarship Fund.
