Decosimo to Serve as Exhibitor & Captive Insurance Presenter at Tennessee Health Care Convention
NASHVILLE, Tenn. Addressing the topic of captive insurance as a cost-effective risk management alternative, Ms. Ford will co-present "Captive Insurance - Delivering Advantages Through Risk Management" with Sean King, who serves as Principal of CI C Services, LLC. Mr. King’s Knoxville-based firm manages captive insurance companies. Ms. Ford and Mr. King will provide an overview of captive insurance, discuss the potential uses for captive insurance platforms within healthcare organizations and examine the first steps involved in a feasibility study to begin a captive program.
Ms. Ford is a principal in Decosimo’s assurance practice and has over 24 years experience in public accounting in both assurance and taxation. She practices primarily in the area of financial statement audits under both U.S. and international audit and accounting standards with emphasis on investment entities, captive insurance companies and healthcare. Ms. Ford is the primary assurance principal involved with the firm’s offshore engagements handled in the Cayman Island office and has obtained certification in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to enhance her expertise in the international market.
Mr. King holds active licenses as a CPA, attorney and insurance agent. Along with his law degree, Mr. King holds a Masters in accounting with a concentration in the area of tax.
