Based out of Denver, CO, Schmutz joins Starbase Jet after a six-year break from aviation. During this period, Schmutz was the Founder and Executive Director of Veteran’s Passport to Hope (VP2H) – a non-profit founded in order to help our nation’s veterans. Prior to assuming the Executive Director role with VP2H, Schmutz held a financial advisory position with Bernstein Global Wealth Management, working closely with high-net-worth individuals and family offices to help achieve their financial goals. Previous careers include a bariatric account manager for Ethicon Endo-surgery and a Captain in the United States Army. As a Black Hawk helicopter pilot, Schmutz served three combat tours in Iraq during which he received the US Army’s Bronze Star. Now as Director of Aircraft Sales and Acquisitions, he has the responsibility of serving current and prospective aircraft owners who seek a powerful combination of rigorous analysis, creative marketing, extensive networking reach, and in-depth technical and transactional knowledge.
