MINOR’S® Battle for Bocuse D’or Contest: Submit Soup Recipe for Chance to Win a Trip to Prestigious French Culinary Competition
Solon, Ohio (PRWEB) August 08, 2014 -- MINOR’S®, proud partner of the Bocuse d’ Or Culinary Competition, challenges foodservice operators to develop and submit their own soup recipe creations for the chance to win a trip to the prestigious Bocuse d’Or Culinary Competition in Lyon, France. Original soup recipes must be submitted to flavormeansbusiness.com/battleforbocuse by Sept. 1.
Competing against featured recipes created by MINOR’S Chef Steve Skomski, entrants must select one option from a variety of ten soup categories, add their signature twist, and upload an original recipe utilizing at least one MINOR’S soup base. The soups are based on the top ten most popular soups from Datassential®. Competition is limited to one entry per person, and only the first 100 entries for each of the ten soup categories will be judged.
Submitted recipes will be reviewed by the MINOR’S panel of judges based on the combination of flavor, creativity and operational efficiency. In each category, one soup will be selected as the category finalist. Each of the ten category finalists will receive a professionally styled and photographed canvas print of their submitted recipe.
The ten category finalists’ names and recipes will be posted to flavormeansbusiness.com/battleforbocuse from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31 for a voting session open to the general public. The category finalist with the most votes will be designated the Grand Prize winner, receiving the ultimate coveted prize: a trip for two to Lyon, France. Along with two tickets to watch the Bocuse d’Or Culinary Competition in January, the winner and guest will receive economy airfare for two, a four-night hotel stay and a $400 gift card for expenses.
