“GSD’s support for our Fair Play Culture and Education Project specifically designed for the YOG is invaluable.” - Jenő Kamuti, CIFP President

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 11, 2014

The Foundation for Global Sports Development (GSD) has joined forces with the International Committee for Fair Play (CIFP) to educate youth participating in the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games (YOG) on the critical values of fair play - both on and off the playing field.

Unique from other youth sporting competitions and events, the YOG incorporates an influential Culture and Education Program (CEP) into the games and CIFP, an IOC recognized organization, has participated since the YOG’s inception in 2010. With the support of GSD, CIFP’s Fair Play Programming will include an interactive booth, walk-in activities, and workshops that promote the importance of fair play and sportsmanship among athletes while demonstrating how youth can best apply these values.

“I am delighted that GSD has been ready to team up with our organization and cooperate with us in the promotion of fair play in Nanjing this summer,” said CIFP President, Mr. Jenő Kamuti. “GSD’s support for our Fair Play Culture and Education Project specifically designed for the YOG is invaluable.”

“Supporting programs and initiatives that promote fair play is a fundamental component of GSD’s mission,” said GSD Executive Board Member, Dr. Steven Ungerleider. “CIFP exemplifies the influence an organization can have when they stay true to their objectives and genuinely believe in the power of their message,” added David Ulich, GSD President.

Beginning August 16th through the 28th, GSD will help spread CIFP’s messages and activities from Nanjing though an interactive page on their website and social media outreach. For further details on GSD please visit their website at http://www.globalsportsdevelopment.org.
