Web hosting provider Eleven2 (http://www.eleven2.com) announced today it opened a new datacenter location in Amsterdam. The new location gives Eleven2 more control over operations in Europe. Like Eleven2’s Los Angeles datacenter, they will own and operate the network and servers. The Amsterdam datacenter offers top of the line features and standards including ISO 27001, US Leed Gold, PCI-DSS and sas70.
The Amsterdam datacenter location was chosen after a diligent selection process. With US Leed Gold certification, the building has best in class environmental strategies and practices: highly secure facilities with 24x7 security including CCTV, electric fences and on-site security guards meeting ISO 27001 security standards. World-class connectivity with access to linx (london exchange) and premium bandwidth providers including telia and zayo. The datacenter also has Sas70 certification showing the facility has passed an in-depth examination of their control objectives and control activities, which often include controls over information technology and related processes.
Eleven2 will also be offering VPS (virtual private servers) in Amsterdam. VPS creates a virtual environment that separates clients as though they were on separate independent machines. With the new location, clients will be able to choose between US and Europe for their VPS hosting. Eleven2’s EU VPS will be fully managed, including cPanel with WHM, guaranteed resources, acceleron caching technology on SSD drives and daily backups.
Eleven2 specializes in virtual premium servers, cloud hosting, dedicated hosting, reseller hosting, shared web hosting, and domain name registration services. With more than 100,000 websites hosted and servers located in the US, UK, and Asia, Eleven2 is widely considered a global leader and innovator in the web hosting industry.
