Coin Laundry Association Publishes 2014 Laundry Industry Survey
Oakbrook Terrace, IL (PRWEB) August 20, 2014 -- Today the Coin Laundry Association (CLA) announced the release of the 18th annual 2014 Coin Laundry Industry Survey which serves to provide an updated profile of laundromats throughout the United States.
The Laundry Industry Survey establishes national and regional benchmarks for the self-service laundry industry on topics like vend pricing, business expenses and revenue per square foot, making the survey an especially valuable tool for laundromat owners and potential investors.
“One of the CLA’s missions is to ensure that industry stakeholders have access to data and educational resources that will help them run their businesses,” explains CLA President and CEO Brian Wallace. “Informed business owners make the laundry industry stronger and more stable, and subsequently, it helps consumers by providing access to better businesses and services.”
The CLA commissions Readex Research, Inc., a nationally recognized independent research company, to conduct this annual industry-wide survey of self-service laundry owners. The findings were taken from respondents indicating their organizations own at least one self-service laundry facility, and the results represent a population of more than 10,000 stores.
Some of the key statistics measured in the CLA Laundry Industry Survey include:
• The nature of the respondents’ jobs
• The type and size of the store, including ancillary services offered and number of machines
• The number of self-service laundries owned, planned to be built, and planned to be purchased by the respondents’ organizations
• The biggest problems the respondents face in the industry
• Store operations, including hours open, number of employees and employee wages
• Store financial information, including current vend prices, expectations for price increases, rent per month, gross revenues and net profit
CLA members can access to the results and data interpretation from this year’s coin laundry industry survey by logging into their member portal on http://www.coinlaundry.org, and it can be purchased for $99 by non-members at http://www.coinlaundry.org/store.
