American Career College Launches New Radiography Program in Ontario
Ontario, California (PRWEB) August 12, 2014 -- From X-rays to more advanced diagnostic tests such as computed tomography, physicians and surgeons rely on accurate medical imaging to treat diseases and injuries; hospitals and medical clinics, in turn, rely on radiologic technologists to operate and maintain the sophisticated equipment that provide these vital tests. As employment in the health care sector continues to expand, so will the demand for radiologic technologists; in fact, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of radiologic and MRI technologists is projected to grow 21 percent nationally from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations. American Career College has launched a new Radiography program at the Ontario campus which will allow students to earn an Associate Degree in Occupational Science and provide clinical preparation for each student to have a successful result on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration exam.
“We are thrilled to now be offering the radiography program at ACC Ontario,” said Scott Wardall, ACC Ontario Executive Director. “At American Career College, we know the importance of education and how it's key to a successful career. We understand that the health care industry is in constant need of well-trained professionals, including radiologic technologists.”
Radiologic Technologists work in a variety of healthcare facilities, such as physicians' offices, outpatient imaging centers and hospitals. For more information visit http://americancareercollege.edu/programs/radiography.html.
