Fairfax, VA (PRWEB) August 19, 2014 -- Pyramid Systems, Inc., a leading provider of software development services to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a five-year, $17 million contract by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to help modernize its National Examination Program (NEP). Under this contract, Pyramid Systems, and its strategic partner, CRGT Inc., will work with the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations to enhance current technology systems and upgrade reporting capabilities.

The Pyramid and CRGT Team’s five-year contract, with the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations, will upgrade the capabilities of its Tracking Reporting Examination National Documentation System (TRENDS). The enhanced system will provide a means for the SEC to streamline the examinations process by focusing on high risk areas and lessen examiners’ effort while conducting examinations.
Additionally, Team Pyramid will perform Business Process Re-Engineering for TRENDS and other examination systems to help determine how best to modernize the NEP for the future. Work is also expected to include a conversion to Oracle Fusion Middleware, as well as development and integratiaon of a data warehouse to improve NEP reporting capabilities for the SEC.
