Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) August 12, 2014 -- Ticket Down is a reliable source for affordable Cleveland Browns Tickets for the 2014 NFL Season. The Cleveland Browns are looking to be a force in the AFC North with Johnny Manziel. It has been 12 seasons since the Cleveland Browns have advanced to the playoffs in the American Football Conference and seven seasons since they finished with a winning record. Between poor draft picks, bad contracts to players that excelled for a season, and overall sloppy play, the Browns became the laughing stock of football and the AFC North. In May, the team was given a new hope for the future when they used the 22nd pick in the first round to select Johnny Manziel from Texas A&M. Mr. Football has allowed the Cleveland fans to get behind their team for the first time in more than a decade and they have nothing to do other than get behind their star player.

As of now, Brian Hoyer is still officially listed as the No. 1 quarterback on the roster. The former Michigan State player entered the league in 2009 with the New England Patriots and has made just four starts in his career. He has a 3-1 career record including 3-0 a year ago with 615 yards and five touchdowns. His numbers, while consistent, are not what the fans of the Browns are hoping to get out of their first round pick, Manziel.
Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner, finished his career with the Aggies with 7,820 yards, 63 touchdowns and just 22 interceptions. A double threat in the rushing attack, Manziel also added 2,169 yards on the ground with 30 additional touchdowns. As soon as he was drafted by the Browns, their fans rejoiced and immediately began to believe the hype. Add in the fact that LeBron James has returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and there has never been a better time to be fan of Cleveland sports.
Who Hoyer or Manziel will be throwing to this season remains to be seen. Their top wide receiver and one of the best in the league, Josh Gordon, is currently appealing a suspension that would see him miss the entire 2014 season for multiple offenses, but the hope is that he will take the field and be the top weapon for the Browns this season. Aside from Gordon, Cleveland does still have other offensive weapons to help Hoyer or Manziel including former Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Miles Austin, Nate Burleson, and running back Ben Tate. Tate was previously the backup for Arian Foster with the Houston Texans and will now be the guy for the first time in his career.
When the Browns play their home games, they do so at the FirstEnergy Stadium in downtown Cleveland. The facility was originally opened in 1999 and can seat more than 73,000 crazed football fans each week. Previously, the team would have to worry about being blacked out for not having enough tickets sold, but with their improved firepower on offense, that won’t be a worry anymore.
