Sanchez have rejoined the firm as Shareholders. Tenen and Sanchez were most recently Partner and Of Counsel, respectively, at the Miami office of Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP.
Tenen will lead the growth of Greenberg Traurig’s Global Aircraft and Equipment Finance and Leasing Practice. He brings more than 20 years of experience handling global transactions for the financing and leasing of both aircraft and other equipment. He also focuses his practice on cross-border structured lending, asset-based financings, securitizations, export credit financing, OPIC transactions, aviation, aerospace and international commercial transactions. Tenen has represented a wide-range of international and domestic clients, including Avianca, Volaris, Copa Airlines, LATAM Airlines Group, Aeroflot and Satmex.

The return of Tenen and Sanchez comes just weeks after the firm’s announcement of the addition of Shareholders Robert J. Downing and Emilio J. Alvarez-Farré, as part of its ongoing expansion of both the Global and Latin American and Iberian practices.

Tenen was previously at Greenberg Traurig for nearly 20 years. He represents domestic and foreign air carriers, leasing companies and lenders on matters including: aircraft acquisitions and sales; spare parts and engine financings and leases; aircraft operating lease transactions; progress payment financings; international development bank facilities and receivables; fuel and currency hedging; comprehensive code share and marketing alliances; cargo handling agreements; commodity and service procurement agreements; airline mergers and acquisitions; and regulatory matters before the Federal Aviation Administration.

Sanchez focuses his practice in the areas of aviation and aircraft finance, equipment leasing, structured finance, and mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience in workouts and restructurings on behalf of banks, financial institutions, lessors, lessees, investors, guarantors, manufacturers and purchasers and sellers of equipment. He also has experience in all aspects of financing and leasing of business jet aircraft and fractional interest ownership programs. He previously spent more than eight years at Greenberg Traurig.
Sanchez received a law degree in 1996 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a bachelor’s degree in 1993 from Dartmouth College.
