Sandvold and Associates Hold MN Snowbird Seminar
St Louis Park, MN (PRWEB) August 12, 2014 -- On July 22, Terry Sandvold, Sandvold and Associates held a seminar in conjunction with Matt Shea, JD, Principal, Gray Plant Mooty Law Firm at the Golden Valley Golf and Country Club titled, “Dual State Residency – What You Need to Know.” The seminar drew 190 people who spend time during the winter months in warmer climates, with many more asking for materials or wanting to attend the next seminar.
In response to popular demand, Sandvold and Associates is holding the sequel seminar on Sept 30, same time, same place: 5:30 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres and drinks at the Golden Valley Golf and Country Club. This seminar is for Minnesota snowbirds who are typically retirees or soon-to-be retirees who wish to avoid the snow and cold and have legal and tax issue questions surrounding dual state residency requirements.
In other news, Sandvold and Associates is sponsoring a VIP dinner at 6 p.m. on August 20 at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest featuring Dennis Prager and Hugh Hewitt. The program, titled “Prager & Hewitt Live on a Stick,” is being brought to the Twin Cities by AM1280 the Patriot. Both Prager and Hewitt are national radio talk show hosts, authors and public speakers who will be commenting on society and politics at the event.
Terry Sandvold and his wife Lynda sponsor several charitable events each year. Near and dear to their hearts is the Alzheimer’s Association. On September 27, at Target Field in Minneapolis, MN, the Alzheimer’s Association will sponsor a Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Team Sandvold will be there to support their effort. Lynda’s mother Louise suffered from Alzheimer’s for over 20 years. The Sandvolds share the Association’s goal to raise awareness and funds to put an end to Alzheimer’s. Earlier this year, they attended the Alzheimer’s Gala Event which raised thousands of dollars for the Association to aid in ending this dreadful disease.
On the local level, on Aug. 9, Terry and Lynda Sandvold are sponsoring the 4th Annual Buffalo Wrestling Golf Tournament being held at the Whispering Pines Golf Course. All proceeds go to benefit the Buffalo Wrestling program.
Another local event that the Sandvolds will be sponsoring is the Tour de Hugo. This is the 4th annual Tour de Hugo Community Bike Ride, and will be held starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Lions Park in Hugo. The sponsorship promotes the city of Hugo Parks & Recs Department. Sandvold and Associates will be giving away draw string bags to participants in the bike ride.
