MWH Wins Global Business Excellence Award for “Outstanding IT Initiative”
Broomfield, CO (PRWEB) August 13, 2014 -- MWH Global, the premier solutions provider focused on water and natural resources for built infrastructure and the environment, has received a 2014 Global Business Excellence Award for “Outstanding IT Initiative.”
The award celebrates MWH and its leading-edge collaborative IT environment, which enables knowledge transfer between the firm’s nearly 8,000 staff members across 35 countries. The collaboration platform integrates Microsoft (Lync, Office 365, Exchange Online and SharePoint), Thru and Yammer technologies to ensure staff can communicate anywhere, at any time, with secure access to email, business information and systems regardless of device. This platform has improved project delivery and created cost and time savings for MWH and its clients.
“MWH has always placed a strong focus on technological innovation,” said Claire Rutkowski, chief information officer for MWH Global. “In the IT space today, a large part of technological innovation is in the area of connectivity and an organization can truly differentiate itself through its ability to connect its people. At MWH, we have found that technology provides an opportunity to open up our workforce and deliver the best global knowledge available to every client, regardless of location.”
The Global Business Excellence Awards recognize and reward business excellence across all sectors – private, public and charity. Specifically, they aim to celebrate those that are working smarter than their competitors to create a business edge. Winners are selected by a panel of experts with in-depth knowledge of the competition category and the sector to which the individual entry relates.
“MWH is an innovative global company allowing business partners, clients and colleagues to share knowledge globally,” said Stephanie Joines, marketing manager for the Global Business Excellence Awards. “Not only have they provided greater integrated global working but their services also deliver substantial cost-savings – and consistently high approval ratings. MWH [is a] most worthy winner for Outstanding IT Initiative with [its] highly successful collaboration tools and other services.”
This award follows earlier success for MWH in April of this year, when it was named a finalist in four categories (Best Project Team, Best Use of Cloud, Operational Efficiency, Best Use of Disruptive IT) at the Corporate IT Forum’s Real IT Awards.
