Decosimo Welcomes Steve Pashley as Senior Manager of National Tax Services
Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) August 12, 2014 -- Decosimo, a Top 100 regional public accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Steve Pashley as a senior manager with the firm’s national tax services practice. With significant experience in the areas of federal tax credits and incentives related to research and development (R&D), energy (including solar, wind, biomass investments), real estate and the domestic production activities deduction (DPAD), Mr. Pashley will be working with a wide variety of businesses in the manufacturing and distribution, not-for-profit, government contracting and technology sectors. His scope of responsibilities will also include advising clients on excise tax minimization strategies and tangible personal property regulations implementation.
Mr. Pashley is a recognized subject matter expert on federal tax issues and opportunities for businesses. He has authored more than 100 articles and whitepapers appearing in a variety of publications, and regularly presents regarding federal tax topics. Mr. Pashley’s notable thought leadership contributions include a three-part series providing guidance regarding the medical device excise tax, an article “Bringing Clarity to Fuel Excise Taxes and Credits” in the April 2014 issue of The Tax Advisor, and contributing toward a four-part series on final tangible property regulations.

Mr. Pashley began his public accounting career with a Big Four firm and spent the last four years with a national firm, where he served as a member of the firm’s Washington National Tax Services group.
A graduate of Augusta State University with a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration, Mr. Pashley is a certified public accountant and also holds a Master of Laws and Juris Doctor degree. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
