Nucleus Medical Media Inc. was honored to receive four awards at last month’s Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) Salon. Nucleus received two awards of merit and two awards of excellence for work produced during the past year.

Nucleus’s "Robotic Myomectomy" animation received the Award of Merit in the “Animation: Didactic/Instructional, Non-Commercial” category. The "Plasmajet" animation received the Award of Excellence in the “Animation: Didactic/Instructional, Commercial” category. Lastly, Nucleus received both awards in the “Animation: Advertising and Marketing/Promotional” category: "BD Vystra Disposable Pen" received the Award of Excellence and "Custom Animated Patient Education: Mitral Valve Prolapse" received the Award of Merit.

The Mitral Valve Prolapse animation was a collaboration between Nucleus and ShareWIK, a company that produces health and wellness content based on personal stories from patients.

Nucleus's co-founder and President, Keith Pavlik, is proud of the accolades. “Communicating medical information clearly is always a challenge,” he says. “I attribute our success to the exceptional talent – both medical writers and animators – that we’re able to attract and retain. Our staff works diligently to create informative and medically accurate animations that reach so many at the point of need. It’s gratifying to receive such a high level of recognition from our peers.“

Nucleus Medical Media is a leading producer of 3D medical animations. The Nucleus Animation Library includes 200+ animations available in English and Spanish, with more added each quarter.

More information about the winning animations can be found on Nucleus’s blog. Pictures from the event can be found on Nucleus’s Facebook page.
