Maryland Heights Convention and Visitors Bureau Announces the Midwest NightFLY 6K/12K Charity Run
Maryland Heights, MO (PRWEB) August 13, 2014 -- On Saturday, August 23 Midwest NightFLY is taking over Creve Coeur Park with a full day of extreme sport disciplines and watersport showcases, kicking the festival off with a 6k/12k charity run.
In 2013, the watersports community was devastated when two of our skiers from Missouri were diagnosed with blood cancers, and now, thanks to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), we are happy to say both the girls have “kicked it” and are cancer free. This year we are proud to announce that on Saturday morning there is a chance to give back to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by participating in either the 6K or 12K Midwest NightFLY Charity Run.
Proceeds from the race will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and the Light the Night Team “Kick-It.” Registration includes free parking and free entrance to the Midwest NightFLY festivities and on-water show.
The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23 at Creve Coeur Park (located at 13236 Streetcar Dr.). Registration is available online here for both the 6K ($25) and 12K ($30).
