It is, by far, the best pre-production activity in Finland in recent years.

The competition’s goal is to allow viewers to vote on which candidate should fill the last place as housemate in the upcoming season of the show. The competition took place from July 1 to August 8, 2014, and more than 600 contestants signed up, and over 14,000 fans registered—this is the first competition of its kind.

Wild Card Voting with the eTribez Engage™ Platform enables Big Brother Finland to allow viewers to participate alongside producers in finding the ideal candidate to fill the place of the final housemate on Big Brother Finland. The multi-gateway platform has sophisticated technology that allows viewers to interact with each other and with candidates, to see and share content, and to vote for their favorite candidates among many other activities. Users are rewarded for their activity with virtual currency credits, which can be redeemed for gifts or merchandise. In order to vote more than the allocated number of times, users can perform micropayments to purchase additional votes.
