Gurnick’s Radiologic Technology Program Achieved the Maximum Award of Accreditation from JRCERT
Concord, CA (PRWEB) August 15, 2014 -- On August 5, 2014 the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) awarded re-accreditation for a period of eight years to Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts Radiologic Technology Program. The JRCERT is the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) for the accreditation of traditional and distance delivery educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry.
The maximum duration that may be awarded by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology in this category is eight years. Gurnick’s program achieved the maximum award of accreditation from the JRCERT.

The length of the RT program is 24 months including preparation for the ARRT exam. The program includes didactic and laboratory training as well as a clinical internship component that correlates with the theoretical knowledge. Currently it’s only offered at Concord Campus.
Radiologic Technology Program is accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and approved by the California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch (CDPH-RHB) as a school for radiographers. The program also holds State approval as a fluoroscopy school.
Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is a private academy offering quality allied-health and nursing programs operating 4 campuses in Northern California with locations in San Mateo, Modesto, Fresno and Concord.
