Apparel Veteran Pietrafesa Launches Internet Sportswear Brand
Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) August 15, 2014 -- Former co-owner of a $120 million private label clothing manufacturing and marketing company, Joseph Pietrafesa, has launched a new sportswear brand called Va Bene Style. Focused on uniquely designed casual sportswear aimed at the upper crust leisure set and centered around the sports of Polo, Yachting, Racing and Equestrian, the new online label will include both men’s and woman’s designs.
Pietrafesa’s former company, The Pietrafesa Company, was once the leading private label tailored clothing company in America, producing large tailored collections for Brooks Brothers, Nordstrom, Jos A Bank, Saks Fifth Avenue and was also the tailored clothing licensee for Polo/Ralph Lauren in the late 1990’s. When the assets of the company were sold in 2001, it had over $120 million in annual volume and employed over 1,000.
“Va Bene Style comes from my desire to stay connected to the apparel industry, where I spent most of my working life,” said Pietrafesa. Having spent considerable time in Italy while in the apparel business and afterward as a retail real estate executive, Pietrafesa combined his own classic taste with his love for Italian design and style to create Va Bene Style.
Loosely translated, Va Bene means, “it’s good,” “all good” and sometimes even “fits good”. In the end it’s as commonly used a phrase as the word “ciao” and is generally used to let others know that everything is “OK”. That is why the main Va Bene Style logo is a red, white and green embroidered thumbs-up, which can be found on most of the product offered. The Brand’s tag line is “Dress Well, Enjoy Life!”
Initial styles include high quality men’s polo shirts, made in Peru. Styled with unique and fun appliqués, the shirts give you a sense of style and direction, whether it’s the Team Shirt (adorned with large red white and green stenciled numbers, patches and embroidery) the Tech Shirts, made from a stretch Micro Model and piped in contrasting colors or the Limited Edition ‘Palm Beacher’, a pink and green standout. All of the shirts have red white and green buttons, ribbon plackets and are cut with a comfortable drape from the shoulder line.
The new label will be marketed through all social media channels, online advertisements and will also include charity sponsorships and high-end print media. Prices range from $65.00-90.00. The line will expand to include carefully selected sweaters and trousers in 2015.
