Agile Meets DevOps is a free half-day symposium from the IEEE Computer Society. The symposium, headlined by Ken Schwaber and Tasktop’s Dave West, will cover how to use collaborative development to sustain rapid and innovative software releases for competitive advantage.
Dave West Talk:
Why is Agile Putting the Lifecycle into DevOps?
DevOps is about building a strong set of practices between operations and development that foster trust and cooperation, reduce waste, and increase value. Agile provided a framework that let development teams collaborate more effectively. It also changed the development lifecycle and practices. But can the Agile lifecycle be employed across operations, and what would the broader lifecycle look like? In this session, West will describe the challenges and opportunities that Agile + DevOps affords organizations, including the promise of DevOps, the reality of DevOps efforts, disconnects between the agile and DevOps lifecycles, and best practices for making software flow.
