(PRWEB UK) 18 August 2014 -- Now open for business, the new store is based in Chorley, Lancashire, close to the M6, M61 and the M65 motorways.
Established in 1993, Merlin Cycles originated with the founders operating out of a spare bedroom. Since then, the business has grown from strength to strength and is currently celebrating 21 successful years of business.
This latest change to a new location marks the company’s fourth and, quite possibly, final move. The new ground floor location boasts improved warehouse logistics and a much larger shop floor space; meaning customers will benefit from a wider range of products to browse through.
In addition to the move, the Merlin Cycles team have completely redesigned the layout of the store, putting a greater focus on providing the best shopping experience for their customers. These changes include in-store windows which allow the public to watch the company’s mechanics at work, assembling and fixing bikes.
A representative from the company had this to say on the new store:
“We’re delighted to officially open the doors to our new cycling store next to our warehouses in Chorley.
As well as the massive range of stock on hand, this new shop is something of our pride and joy. Spacious, clean and bright – with cutting edge cycling kit and clothing on display, it’s the perfect place for our customers to find their ideal bike.
But a good store is nothing without good staff. All of our staff are dedicated cyclists. We have a healthy mix of road riders and mountain bikers, and they all have sound knowledge to share with our customers.
The new location is easily accessible from a number of motorways, and we’re open Monday to Saturday, with two late night opening days, so pop in and see us soon.”

About The Brand
Merlin Cycles are one of the UK's longest established mail order specialists. Established in 1993 by John Moss the company began its operation in his spare bedroom in the village of Whittle Le Woods near Chorley.
The one phone line, one man set up quickly gathered a good reputation with its well-placed adverts and low prices. Within months the company opened a shop in Ormskirk and starting its wheel and bike building programme which is still the cornerstone of the business today.
2014 sees the opening of what will now be Merlin’s biggest ever bike store on its current site in Buckshaw Village.
