Miami based recording artist, Ja’Rae Womack, releases new song, “Sound of a Woman,” to raise awareness to recent domestic abuse issues in the United States.
Miami, FL (PRWEB) August 15, 2014 -- SoBe Entertainment's recording artist, Ja'Rae Womack, the niece of the late legendary R&B singer Bobby Womack and the great granddaughter of the incomparable Sam Cooke, has embarked on a crusade as an ambassador for abused women and as an advocate against domestic violence with the release of her new song, "Sound of a Woman."
Her message and her video are directed to the members of our society in general, in addition to all the sports associations, such as the NFL, the NBA, WNBA, MLB, the NHL and MLS. Major league sports and the federal government must take the lead on this national societal problem once and for all.
Ja'Rae states:
"This song is dedicated to all those women who have endured emotional, mental and physical abuse. The cover for this song depicts the unconditional love between a mother and her child, no matter how scarred they may be. This mother and child were physically abused and burned with acid by the husband and father. No matter what permanent damages may be inflicted by our fellow man, it proves that love and forgiveness conquer all. I dedicate my life and career to those who have been and are being abused. When will we all stop and pay attention to the 'sound of a woman'... who is constantly calling out for help?" - Ja'Rae Womack
